Camarote Salvador organizes singing classes for the children's choir from the São Lázaro community

Camarote Salvador brought the magic of Christmas to the residents of São Lázaro, in the capital of Bahia, in an initiative filled with games, music and fun. Thinking of a special experience for the community, Premium Entretenimento, the company that organizes the biggest Carnival party in Brazil, prepared a Christmas choir with the children of the region. The participants took singing lessons organized by the event producer. The event took place on Saturday (16), on the steps of the Sanctuary of São Roque and São Lázaro, and also included the arrival of Santa Claus and the distribution of gifts and snacks.

The Christmas cantata is part of the company's social commitment. The group was made up of children who live there and members of the Em Cantos de São Lázaro project, led independently by mothers from the community.

“Having the opportunity to provide the children of São Lázaro with singing lessons to form a choir and a Christmas celebration is something that fills us with pride. It's part of our DNA to offer entertainment and unforgettable memories, and we hope that this will be the case for the people of this community. That's why we've planned a beautiful show,” says Luciana Villa Boas, executive director of Premium Entretenimento.

Getting closer to the community around where Camarote Salvador is installed every year has been very important for the company, explains Sustainability coordinator Danielle Pires. “It has been a joint construction, with representation from a group of women and mothers who worked without any support, from the Em Cantos de São Lázaro project.”

The structure included the church's stage lighting and sound system, specially designed for the residents, who were given popcorn and soft drinks to watch the performance. The event was attended by around 100 people.

“It is with great joy that the Em Cantos de São Lázaro Educational Project has built another partnership with Camarote Salvador to present the Christmas choir to the families of the community. As a result of the children's dedication to their teacher Mariana, a member of the Neojibá Youth Choir and a musician at UFBA, this Christmas celebration was very special for us,” says Rosimar Santos, the project's coordinator.

The action also included the mobilization of partners such as Uranus 2, TD Produções, Alugue Tudo, Kika Tocchetto, Edd Bala and Construtora Santa Helena.
