Carnival and fashion go hand in hand, and the launch of the Camarote Salvador shirts is a long-awaited moment for those who are counting down the days to enjoy the best revelry in Brazil. This Wednesday (20), the event unveils the exclusive shirts designed for the 2024 edition, with a campaign starring Bahian influencer Mari Gonzalez. The design and colors are part of the concept “Before summer ends”, developed to emphasize the cultural atmosphere of Salvador, the most intense season of the year and the biggest popular festival on the planet.
To get into the mood of the chosen theme, each color has a specific name that characterizes the next edition of the event, which will be held between 8 and 13 February at the Barra-Ondina Circuit. The pink T-shirt symbolizes summer and is called Hello Summer. The yellow translates as Vibração and the red has been given the name Pelô, referring to the iconic Pelourinho, one of Brazil's best-known tourist spots. The colors white, black and navy blue represent Búzios, Eclipse and Maré, respectively.

According to Luciana Villas Boas, executive director of Premium Entretenimento, the company that organizes Camarote Salvador, the fashion film is one of the most eagerly awaited moments for everyone. “Our shirts always tell a story and are linked to the unique experiences we have at Carnival. In recent years they have become a fashion item and an expression of our revelers, who love to customize and create incredible looks that make our party even more beautiful,” she explains.
Passionate about Carnival and always present at Camarote Salvador, Mari Gonzalez says that what she likes most about the party is the good music, as well as having people vibing together and being able to be themselves. The influencer explains that her relationship with the party was born when she was still a child: “I was brought up at Carnival all my life. I lived where the Salvador Carnival took place and I've witnessed all this movement since I was a little girl. I was born during Carnival and it always falls on my birthday. I'm an Aquarian, who also likes to party”.
Behind the concept
Developed by the Messs agency, the concept's main reference is the circle, an element that represents the sun and also refers to the encounter with the sea at Forte de São Marcelo. Printed on the shirts and integrating the visual identity, the versatile symbol adapts and can be used as a flat circle, applied with a gradient or as a stroke. The element can also become a sphere by creating volume, giving more depth to the visual pieces.
The color palette has the flame of a candle as its focal point. The idea came about to highlight the colors of the sunset, expressing a feeling for summer, which connects to the concept. The set of colors also includes shades of graphite and off-white to create elegant contrasts that refer to light and shadow. The approach was designed to develop a unique connection with the brand's identity.
